Catri trimaran is a patented combination of unseen yacht speed, stability and comfort, that is accredited by unique hydrofoil system and according changes in trimaran architecture.

Speed

Even the smallest Catri trimarans achieve the speed previously available only for professional surfers and owners of million-worth trimarans. In order to minimize resistance while floating the water, Catri outriggers are constructed with V-shaped cross-section and wave-breaking fore. When the wind is not strong, the outrigger hydrofoils are above the water, minimizing the water resistance. Catri is created to achieve maximum speed in any circumstances, especially in medium and strong wind. In competitions without strong wind, the disincentive effect of hydrofoils is compensated by the increased sail surface.

Stability

Stability is the cornerstone of yacht safety and speed. Stabilizators are localized in stern of Catri trimarans and during surfing mode submerged close to water surface. Thus Catri trimarans achieve additional dynamic stability, float the water breaking the waves and smoothing out longitudinal oscillations. Stability is the main advantage of Catri trimarans for sea-sailing. Although C class trimarans are not provided for sea-sailing during storm, Catri 24 showed no sign of danger while sailing in the North Sea under the circumstances. Largest A class modifications have option of automatic sail release that excludes the possibility of turn-over due to crude error of control. High-class stability and safety of Catri trimarans allow enjoying dynamic sailing also for less-experienced sailors.

Comfort

Sailing is struggle against the wind and competitors, not against the discomfort and household nuisances. Speed increase of Catri concept yachts is not achieved at the comfort expense. Roomy hull and spacious cockpit in the back part of trimaran provides comfort and handy control. Even the smallest Catri 24 height of cabin ceiling is 1,8 m. More comfort is provided by stable run of the trimaran that makes Catri distinct from any other yacht. Every Catri trimaran is equipped with folding system that allows decreasing trimaran width in harbour. Smaller B and C class projects can be transported by the trailer.
